According to the dictator, these were allegedly “retaliatory strikes.”

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has admitted that Russian troops did indeed strike civilian targets in Sumy and Kryvyi Rih. He called the attacks “retribution for crimes committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the border regions,” Russian media reported .

Recall that the Russian strike on Sumy on April 13 killed 35 people, including two children, and injured 120 others. Putin said that the Sumy University Congress Center allegedly “awarded Ukrainian military personnel.”

“Is this a civilian facility or not? Civilian. But there was an award ceremony there for those who committed crimes in the Kursk region. Both units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and nationalists. Those people whom we consider criminals, who should have received deserved retribution for what they did in the border region, in particular for Kursk. They received retribution,” the Russian dictator said.

Putin also spoke about the strike on Kryvyi Rih on April 4. This attack killed 21 people, including nine children.

“They hold gatherings, meetings, (military) meetings in the restaurant, they celebrate something there, they drink vodka, and so on. Well, a strike was also carried out there. Are these civilian objects? Civilian. But what is the goal? Military,” the head of the Russian Federation cynically stated.

Putin also mentioned the strike on a civilian facility in the Odessa region. He said the target of the attack was allegedly “hangars of an agricultural enterprise where a new missile system was being produced and tested.”
