The President of the Russian Federation paid special attention to “Kyiv’s attempts to interpret the Minsk agreements in its own way”
Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of taking a selective approach to fulfilling its commitments in resolving the conflict in Donbas during a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. This was reported by the Kremlin’s press service.
“Concerns have been expressed about the lack of progress in implementing the Minsk agreements of 2015, which remain the unalterable basis for resolving the conflict. Vladimir Putin paid special attention to Kyiv’s attempts to interpret these agreements in its own way and to take a selective approach, in particular within the framework of the Normandy Format, its commitments,” reads the message.
At the same time, the Kremlin continues calling the war in Donbas an “intra-Ukrainian conflict.”
As we reported earlier, Dmitry Kozak, the deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, does not yet see any grounds for holding a summit of the leaders of the Normandy Four.
“The question of holding a meeting of the leaders of the Normandy Four was not discussed in Berlin. Despite the fact that one of the negotiators states that the summit in the Normandy format is the goal, we understand that there are no grounds for holding it,” Kozak said.
