Prystaiko: Germany refused Ukraine military assistance

Foreign Minister of Ukraine is outraged by fact that only smaller part of population in Germany approves of sanctions imposed on Russia after annexation of Crimea

Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko announced Germany’s refusal to provide military assistance to Ukraine to combat Russian aggression in the east of the country. The head of Ukrainian diplomacy announced this in an interview with the German news agency RND.

“We are very grateful for the financial support from Germany and the political commitment of the federal government. Our request for military assistance was rejected, unfortunately,” – Prystaiko said.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister is outraged by the fact that only a smaller part of the population in Germany approves of the sanctions imposed on Russia after the annexation of Crimea.

“I know about the guilt that the Germans still experience due to the Nazi occupation of the Soviet Union. The Third Reich killed millions of people, including many Russians. But you know what? The people who suffered the most during World War II were Ukrainians. We lost up to ten million people. Sanctions are required to keep Russians at the negotiating table,” Prystaiko emphasized.

He expressed hope that official Berlin would reconsider its position and decide on strengthening the defense capabilities of Ukraine.

As we reported, President of the United States signed the country’s military budget for 2020. In accordance with it, financial military assistance for Ukraine will amount to 300 million dollars

  1. Ukraine don’t need any military assistance from Germany, they have enough broomsticks. Germany should remember who suffered the most during Hitler and Stalin’s fight, it was Ukraine that caught the shit from both sides.
