Protesters in Iran against the ayatollah regime have seized control of two cities in Ilam Province, which borders Iraq. “Today, a significant event took place in two cities in western Iran, which have effectively come under the control of protesters, and people are celebrating in the streets,” Ali Safavi, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), told Fox News . He specified that he was referring to Abdanan and Malekshahi.
Maryam Rajavi, President of Iran’s National Council for Human Rights, also expressed gratitude on social media to the protesters in Abdanan and Malekshahi for “forcing the regime’s security forces to retreat.” Meanwhile, the Iranian news agency Tasnim reports that the protest quickly ended after security forces intervened and used tear gas. The protesters then dispersed into the surrounding side streets, and security forces regained control of the central streets, Tasnim reports.
Protests in Iran, sparked by 50 percent inflation and the devaluation of the real amid sanctions and the aftermath of the war with Israel, have spread to 27 of the country’s 31 provinces. Clashes with government forces have left at least 35 people dead and over 1,200 detained, according to a tally by the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA). The state-run Fars news agency reported that approximately 250 police officers and 45 Basij militia fighters were injured.
Amid the mass protests, Iranian authorities announced a package of measures as a concession to the protesters. These included a 43% wage increase instead of 20% (with official inflation in December at 52.6%), a VAT reduction from 12% to 10%, and an $8.8 billion allocation to curb rising prices for essential goods. At the same time, according to Western intelligence, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has developed an evacuation plan from Tehran in the event the authorities fail to suppress the mass protests in the country. According to former Israeli intelligence officer Benny Sabti, the 86-year-old Khamenei may go to Moscow because “there is no other place for him.”
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump declared his readiness to use military force in the event of violent suppression of protests in other countries. Tehran called this statement “reckless.” Iranian authorities accused the West of attempting to destabilize the country’s economy and threatened a harsh response to any attempts to interfere in the country’s domestic situation.

I wish the people of Iran Godspeed with their protests against their evil regime.
There was an interesting clip today from some city in Iran. The officials on a balcony were shouting at students, death to America, death to Israel. The response from the students was, death to Palestine. The Iranians have lost their fear.
👌💪
I wonder if these protests are being shown in mafia land? 😁
Do you really think so? If they do, they are likely to twist things around.
