Pro-Ukrainian singer jumped out of window in Russia during search in case of support for Ukrainian Armed Forces

The death of Vadim Stroykin in the aggressor country was called a suicide.

Russian singer from the Urals and guitar teacher Vadim Stroykin died in St. Petersburg. This happened during a search of his apartment in connection with the case of financial support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Propagandists claim that the 59-year-old musician allegedly committed suicide and jumped out of a 10th-floor window.

As the Russian publication Sever. Realii writes, the artist was accused of “participation in a terrorist organization.” Because of this, his apartment was searched. According to the residents of the aggressor country, Stroykin went to the kitchen to drink some water, and a few seconds later, when security forces came to him, he fell out of the window.

It is no secret that in the Russian Federation any support for Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considered “terrorism” or “extremism”. For this, those accused in such cases face up to 20 years of restricted freedom.

After the occupiers’ attack on Ukraine in 2022, the performer published posts on his social networks in which he spoke out against the war. Moreover, he even openly criticized the Putin regime and the dictator himself, which, as is known, is severely punished in Russia. In one of the posts, the musician called Putin a “scumbag” because he “went to war not only against a brotherly nation, but also declared war on his own people.” This is what caused the Russian authorities to check him for connections with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

By the way, Stroykin is originally from the city of Snezhinsk. He graduated from the British School of Journalism and in the 90s began his career as a radio host. Then he created the author’s program “Anthology of the author’s song” on “Echo of Moscow – Yekaterinburg”. After that, the artist tried himself in tourism and founded his own company, and then took up music. Since 2015, the Russian has been a guitar teacher and has taught lessons all over the world.
