The Hungarian Prime Minister is convinced that the lifting of sanctions against the aggressor will benefit Europe.
The European Union should review the sanctions against Russia in order to reduce energy prices on the European market and strengthen its own competitiveness. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, quoted by Reuters .
“Energy prices must be reduced in any way. This means that sanctions must be revised, because under the current policy of sanctions, energy prices will not be lower,” he said.
According to Orban, the costs of American companies for gas and electricity are four times lower than those of European companies. This is a drawback that cannot be overcome by other means, he believes.
