Russia today canceled the planned closure of the Sea of Azov , which became known the day before.
This was announced on Facebook by the editor-in-chief of BlackSeaNews, head of the Black Sea Strategic Research Institute project Andrei Klimenko.
According to him, on February 10 at 16:43, the Department of Navigation and Oceanography of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the cancellation of the blocking of the Sea of \u200b\u200bAzov region north of the Kerch Strait. Klymenko added that Ukraine, through the efforts of experts, military, diplomats, government and business representatives, was able to create unprecedented pressure due to the problem.

The expert admitted that the decision of the Russians could be influenced by British Foreign Minister Elizabeth Truss, who is visiting Moscow .
He also did not rule out other options. “The Russian Federation is preparing some new meanness,” admits Klimenko.
The journalist specified that there were no changes regarding the “blockade” regarding the Black Sea – obviously, it will continue.
Blocking of the Black and Azov Seas by Russia

On February 10, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed a strong protest in connection with the decision of the Russian Federation to block part of the waters of the Black and Azov Seas and the Kerch Strait under the pretext of conducting naval exercises.
The Ukrainian Navy declared its readiness for the development of any scenarios, provocations of the enemy and further protection of the country from the sea direction .
The topic of “sea blockade” will become one of the main topics during the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council in Kharkiv on February 11.
