Preparation of attack on Ukraine: Russia demands evidence from US

Vladimir Putin’s spokesman added that until the United States proves that his country is preparing for aggression, Russia will consider all such reports as lies

Putin’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov expects US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan to provide evidence that Russian troops are preparing to invade Ukraine. Peskov stated this in an interview with CNN, a fragment of which was published by The Hill on Twitter.

“As you can see, this is not happening. This is the first. Secondly, we heard the statement of Mr. Sullivan last night, and he promised to publish evidence of those accusations within 24 hours … So, we are still waiting for this evidence,” Peskov said in response to a journalist’s question about whether it is true that Russia is going to attack Ukraine in the foreseeable future.

Vladimir Putin’s spokesman added that until the United States proves that his country is preparing for aggression, Russia will consider all such reports as lies.

On Thursday, Jake Sullivan said the threat of a Russian military invasion of Ukraine is “high” and stressed that the US and its European allies are prepared for “any contingency.”

“Our intelligence community has developed information, which has now been downgraded, that Russia is laying the groundwork to have the option of fabricating the pretext for an invasion,” Sullivan said on Thursday.

  1. Well Peskov, perhaps if Russia removed all it’s military out of Ukraine, and away from civilization, we would know Russia are not preparing to invade. But shorty hasn’t moved them, but ordered live fire drills and cyber attacks against Ukraine. How much evidence do you need?

  2. ALWAYS assume that what a Ruskie tells you is a filthy, blatant lie. Lying is a part of their genes, like alcoholism, wife-beating, and stealing.
