“Breakthrough” to Kursk region

As UNIAN reported, on August 6, there were reports of fighting on the border with Russia. Russian pro-war channels accused Ukraine of breaking through the border , but the General Staff of the Armed Forces did not comment on this information.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that “the enemy tried to break through,” but “the troops suffered significant losses and retreated.” They soon removed the fragment from their Telegram channel.

In the evening, the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, stated that the situation on the border remains tense and fighting continues.
