Poroshenko advises Zelensky to stop using drugs

Former President of Ukraine returned to Ukraine

Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko advised incumbent Volodymyr Zelensky to stop using drugs. Poroshenko stated this to reporters in the court building.

“I can comment on this: [Volodymyr Zelensky], stop taking drugs, because your actions are completely inadequate,” he said.

As it was reported on December 20, the State Bureau of Investigations has notified Petro Poroshenko, the fifth president of Ukraine of a suspicion of high treason. The fifth president is suspected of supplying coal from the temporarily occupied areas of Donbas in 2014-2015.

On December 24, the Office of the Prosecutor General has approved a request to impose a measure of restraint on the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the form of arrest with the possibility of bail of UAH one billion ($36,609,354).

Later, a prosecutor has withdrawn the petition to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention against the suspected ex-president Petro Poroshenko from Kyiv’s Pechersky district court. However, the Security Service of Ukraine denied it, in spite of the court’s decision.

It is worth noting that Poroshenko went on a “diplomatic tour” just before the announcement of suspicion. The fifth president went to Turkey and then intends to visit Poland.

On January 12, it became known that the Pechersk court of Kyiv has decided to detain the former President of Ukraine.
