Police officers Oleksandr Hryhorenko and Serhiy Shmatko were killed as a result of a Russian attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region .

As part of an investigative and operational group, they traveled to the Pavlohrad district to document the consequences of an enemy attack on the Bohdaniv community.

“During work, the enemy struck again with a UAV. Police Captain Oleksandr Hryhorenko died on the spot. Senior Police Lieutenant Serhiy Shmatko was seriously injured. Doctors fought for his life, but the policeman could not be saved. Another law enforcement officer was seriously injured and is currently in the hospital.
