European countries have been left reeling after Trump launched the war on Iran without informing America’s close allies

The Polish Prime Minister has said the impacts of the Iran war are “like Putin’s dream plan.”
Highlighting Trump’s threats to NATO, the easing of sanctions on Russia and the looming energy crisis in Europe, Donald Tusk despaired about the current situation.
Writing on X, the Polish PM said: “The threat of NATO’s break-up, easing sanctions on Russia, a massive energy crisis in Europe, halting aid for Ukraine and blocking the loan for Kyiv by Orbán – it all looks like Putin’s dream plan.”

Trump has been fuming about NATO, including musing about leaving the alliance, over a lack of support for the Iran war.
“NATO treated us very badly, and you have to remember it because they’ll be treating us badly again if we ever need them,” Trump said Wednesday at a private White House lunch for the upcoming Easter holiday.
The president also suggested in an interview to The Telegraph newspaper in the UK published Wednesday, that he could potentially try to leave the alliance.
The alliance has been a cornerstone of global security since its establishment after WWII. One of the key reasons it was set up was to keep Soviet Russia in check.
Another product of the war was the easing of sanctions on countries buying Russian oil. The changes were welcomed by the Kremlin.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the “tailored, short-term” policy move would reduce the economic impact of the war.
Despite this, stocks are dropping and oil prices are soaring after Trump vowed the US will continue to attack Iran and failed to offer a clear timetable for ending the conflict.
Since getting back into power, Trump has halted additional military aid for Ukraine, forcing the embattled Eastern European country to look elsewhere for support.
European countries are standing up to the US and Trump over the war with Spain going as far as closing its airspace to US planes involved in the Iran war.
The country earlier said that the US couldn’t use jointly operated military bases in the war, which Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has described as illegal, reckless and unjust. Defense Minister Margarita Robles said that the same logic applied to the use of Spanish airspace.
“This was made perfectly clear to the American military and forces from the very beginning. Therefore, neither the bases are authorized, nor, of course, is the use of Spanish airspace authorized for any actions related to the war in Iran,” Robles told reporters, describing the conflict as “profoundly illegal and profoundly unjust.”
Sánchez has called on the US, Israel and Iran to end the war.
With Europe-US relations at an all time low, Putin and his cronies in the Kremlin must be rubbing their hands in glee.

Donald Trump gets a history lesson from Iain Dale
After the President’s newest attack on Britain for its inaction in Iran, Iain Dale thinks it’s time to give him a little history lesson. #iaindale#donaldtrump#iran#ukpolitics#lbc

A forensic response to Krasnov’s offensive bullshit from Iain Dale, who demolishes it in two minutes flat.
Iain btw is a Conservative who is generally supportive of the Republican Party.
TACO whining about the UK not getting involved in his and Israel’s war and telling them to get their own oil is laughable. I don’t know who is advising this guy, but he must be spewing verbal diarrhea. Here is a reliable list of countries the UK import oil from.
Domestic (North Sea): A large portion of UK oil is produced domestically, though much of this is exported due to limited refining capacity, with other grades imported, noted the OEUK.
Key Import Partners: The top suppliers of crude oil to the UK in 2024 were the USA, Norway, Libya, and Nigeria.
Refined Products: The UK relies heavily on imports for refined oil products (like diesel), with around half of the needed diesel imported from countries including the Netherlands.
I don’t see Iran or OPEC mentioned anywhere.
Yes you are right.
BP took a hammering from the Iran revolution in 1979 and pulled out.
The rest followed suit.
It would not take too much persuasion for me to believe that trumputler have made some secret deal to control as much of the world’s fossil fuels as possible between the two, who are both lowlife crooks on top of everything else.
OPEC mainly exports to Korea, Japan as well as China. Nato countries, except for France, don’t import much from there. So the problem in Nato countries is not a shortage but rising prices on the global market.
Rising prices in the US too, but we have all the oil according to TACO. BTW he sacked the top US General last night, so I guess this is another war going to plan.
The fat orange idiot still doesn’t understand that his illegal war has caused global oil price to go up, which is also affecting the United States. Or he just doesn’t give a crap.
