Poland is considering the possibility of transferring additional aircraft to Ukraine, including MIG-29s.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said this at a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha.
“We are considering the possibility of providing additional batches of equipment, including MiG-29 aircraft, which are needed today to protect Polish skies,” the Polish Foreign Minister said.
Sikorski also emphasized that Warsaw could provide Kyiv with planes with the help of its partners: if the allies contribute to patrolling Polish airspace.
- On July 19, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zvarych said that Warsaw could transfer all of its MiG-29 fighter jets to Kyiv.
- On July 21, former Polish Minister of National Defense Janusz Onyszkiewicz said that Polish MiG-29 aircraft could appear in Ukraine in about six months, but it would depend on the timing of their replacement with new American F-35s.

I simply cannot comprehend the logic behind all of this. Poland says it needs to protect its airspace, yet allows mafia drones and missiles to fly dangerously close to its border and sometimes even INSIDE its airspace without lifting a single finger. Copy that with the other NATO countries. And then they are blathering about something that MIGHT happen in 6 months or likely even longer.
Like a rapidly growing cancer, cowardice has made the West very ill and incapable of doing what’s necessary and right.
Since NATO has lost its will and its way, it should just hand over everything it has to Ukraine and let Ukraine secure its safety.
Once steadfast, Poland has become an erratic and unreliable ally.
Recently it may well have forced the resignation of a good man; Dmytro Kuleba, because of disputes about historical grievances.
It has just six 40 year old MiGs that it wants to give to Ukraine; in six months’ time.
Well whoopee-do.
Poland has already taken ownership of the first batch of six F-35s.
They are still in the US being used for training the Polish pilots but the first squadron should be stood up soon.
Six is not many airframes but bare in mind that during international training exercises the F-35 has had a 10 to 1 kill ratio thoes six are very lethal.
They are superior to anything the roaches have, that’s for sure.
