“Jake Sullivan used to give the bully (Putin) his lunch money. We’re not going to do that” – Mike Waltz, US National Security Advisor
Comforting words shared on my latest podcast! 👏 Good to have a former Green Beret instead of a lawyer driving US foreign policy. (I know alot of Ukrainians are pleased by this!)
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Steven Moore, a DC insider fresh off of trips to DC and Davos, where he’s gained a solid understanding of Trump’s developing policy towards Russia and Ukraine. Steven spent 30 years in Republican politics, including many years as a chief of staff in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has been in Ukraine since day 5 of the war.
In Moore’s belief, he’s increasingly optimistic about Trump’s support for Ukraine and an end to the war this year – a view which I agree with.
Listen in on your preferred platform below to hear more about why Steven is getting optimistic for Ukraine. 💪
Good to believe the US is getting some guts again in foreign policy.
And please check out: ➡️ Steven’s NGO, Ukraine Freedom Project, which has delivered some 250 tons of food to the hungry, supplied hospitals with medical supplies, and delivered Starlinks, drones, generators, and other aid to areas near the front. ➡️ A Faith Under Siege, a documentary Steven helped produce on Russia’s attacks on Christians in Ukraine ➡️ His substack column Tales from World War III to stay informed on Ukraine (in comments below)

Putin is going to propose many really profitable deals for the Trump family so let’s hope that he holds off and does the right thing. Nobody knows how to buy off Western politicians like Putin.
Scott Overmyer
Allan Vodicka He’ll jump at Putin’s deals. Ukraine is in for a rough time, I’m afraid.
Tom McCutchen
Without having yet listened to the podcast, this seems strange to me.
In recent years, Trump has publicly criticized U.S. aid to Ukraine, arguing that it’s costly and questioning its strategic value for the U.S. Because of this, we saw delays and debates over additional aid packages to Ukraine during the Biden administration. I believe that these delays cost Ukranian lives. This blood is not on Jake Sullivan’s hands, it is on the hands of Mr. Waltz’s boss.
Has Mr. Trump ever unequivocally condemned Mr. Putin for the immorality of the invasion, the war crimes of his military, or the many ridiculous lies Mr. Putin has told to justify his aggression? Remember Mr. Trump called the invasion ‘genius’ and ‘savvy’.
Mr. Trump’s oft-repeated campaign to end the war in 24 hours, combined with his more recent and equally ridiculous plan to relocate 2 million Gazans without bothering to ask for anybody’s consent on the matter shows his lack of seriousness as a statesman.
I grant you that Mr. Trump does have a lot of economic and military firepower at his disposal, and I hope that he uses it to Ukraine’s advantage. But so far, he has been no friend of Ukraine, in my opinion.
Scott Overmyer
Comforting to whom? Not me. You buttheads are supporting the corrupt Netanyahu regime and Putin over Ukraine.
Thanks for the kind words and the good time on your podcast. Let’s do it again soon!
Steven Moore I’ll be sure to take you up on that!
Steven Moore has been doing fantastic work advocating for Ukraine and helping Ukrainians communicate more effectively. Thank you for sharing, Mark!
Christine Khariv indeed he has! It was a pleasure to have him on the podcast

Unfortunately the following article from RBC shows that Waltz is toeing the “land for peace” line :

Russia will not be completely expelled from Ukraine – Waltz

Russia’s war against Ukraine can end diplomatically. A ceasefire could be the first step towards this, stated Mike Waltz, the future National Security Advisor to US President-elect Donald Trump, in an interview with ABC News.
Donald Trump’s future National Security Advisor said that the ceasefire is an important step that will help the parties move to a negotiated solution.
“Well, we would like to see a ceasefire any minute, any day. I think that would be a positive – an incredibly positive first step on both sides. And it would allow us to enter the framework of some type of negotiated solution,” he emphasized.
According to him, a diplomatic solution to the conflict is inevitable, although the complete expulsion of Russian troops, in particular from Crimea, is considered unrealistic.
“Everybody knows that it has to end somehow diplomatically. I just don’t think it’s realistic to say that we’re going to expel every Russian off every inch of Ukrainian soil, even from Crimea. President Trump has acknowledged this reality,” Waltz emphasized.
He also emphasized the importance of preventing further escalation, which could have global consequences.
“We’re already seeing North Korea, we’re seeing, you know, the rumblings from South Korea. This is – this thing could expand, and that’s what we have to stop,” the adviser emphasized.
Trump is planning meeting with Putin
During a recent speech to Republican governors, Trump said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin had expressed a desire to meet. In particular, he added that the meeting was already being prepared, but did not specify specific dates.
Meanwhile, the Russian dictator’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, claimed that Putin, in turn, was ready to meet with Trump and that “no conditions are needed.”

Very good and succinct comment from Tom McCutchen.
“Jake Sullivan used to give the bully (Putin) his lunch money. We’re not going to do that” – Mike Waltz, US National Security Advisor”
We can only hope that the Trump administration won’t take away Ukraine’s lunch money to hand over to the moskovian mafiosi.
“Russia will not be completely expelled from Ukraine – Waltz”
This is a defeatist attitude, not far away from a Biden or Sullivan one. We are the United States, not Zimbabwe or Sierra Leon.
It is the default position of all Trumpkov hires.
“Tulsi Gabbard staff member said that she ignores mainstream TV and gets her news from RT.”
Says it all.
