The speaker of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov , spoke about the resumption of the “civil war” in Ukraine due to threats to disconnect the Russian Federation from the SWIFT international interbank payment system.
The press secretary of the head of Russia argues that statements about the possible disconnection of the country from the international system could contribute to loosening the situation, RBC writes .
Peskov also repeated the “mantra” of the Russian authorities, according to which a “civil war” is allegedly going on in part of the east of Ukraine.
“All these statements can contribute to the destabilization of the situation, because they can inspire completely erroneous hopes in the hot heads of some representatives of Ukraine, the Ukrainian leadership, which, as they say, on the sly (adaptation – Ed.) may decide to start a new civil war in their country and try solve the problem of the southeast by force,” the speaker said.
Recall that in 2014 Russia seized the Ukrainian Crimea and invaded part of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The Russian authorities supported the militants who created the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR”. A number of Western countries punished Russia with sanctions, in particular, the restrictive measures concerned individual enterprises. There was also information about the possible disconnection of the Russian Federation from SWIFT.
The Russian authorities claimed that they had not invaded Ukraine, and there was an “internal conflict” in the country. The Kremlin has repeatedly accused Kiev of being able to go for the “forceful option” of resolving the conflict in parts of the Donbass. It is worth noting that the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly called the diplomatic path the only one that can lead to the end of the war.
In the fall of 2021, the Russian side went to aggravate the situation on the border with Ukraine – pulled a lot of military and equipment.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said that Russia had deployed more than 90,000 troops to the border with our country and was preparing for an invasion early this year .
The United States and the EU have threatened the Russian Federation with harsh measures in the event of a new aggression against Ukraine. In particular, the White House shared that the option of disconnecting Russia from SWIFT is not excluded .

Piece of shit!
He’s a trained liar and what he says doesn’t even make sense.
The Moskali invade and occupy Crimea so Ukraine’s reaction is to start a Civil War in the Donbas? That’s like slapping your kid for something your neighbor did. It doesn’t make sense unless you live in an imaginary world like the Moscow misfits do.
He at least admitted that the ‘civil war’ would be resumed by RuSSia, if one read between the lines.
Pewtin, Pest-cough, Liarov, and Shoo-ee-goo, during their nightly circle-jerk session, try to surpass each other telling outrageous lies that they can announce to the world.
