Zelensky fired Sergei Shefir from the post of his first assistant.
Personnel changes continue in the Office of the President. In particular, Vladimir Zelensky fired Sergei Shefir from the post of his first assistant. The corresponding decree No. 207/2024 is posted on the website of the head of state. Shefir is Zelensky’s long-time partner in Kvartal 95.

In addition, Zelensky fired a number of advisers and commissioners.
Thus, the president fired three of his freelance advisers – Mikhail Radutsky, Sergei Trofimov and Oleg Ustenko (decrees No. 210-212).
Also dismissed were the Presidential Commissioner for Volunteer Affairs Natalya Pushkareva and the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Military Personnel Elena Verbitskaya (decrees No. 208 and No. 209).
Sergei Shefir – what is known about him
Sergey Shefir was born on May 25, 1964 in Krivoy Rog. In 2003, together with his brother and Vladimir Zelensky, he founded his studio “95th Quarter”. Shefir is a co-author of the script for the show “Evening Quarter”, as well as a screenwriter and producer. In 2019, he was appointed first assistant to President Vladimir Zelensky.
Personnel changes – news
On March 29 , Zelensky fired two deputy heads of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak. Thus, Andrey Smirnov and Alexey Dneprov were dismissed from their positions.
Earlier this week, he fired Alexei Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. On March 29, Zelensky confirmed that Danilov will represent the diplomatic interests of Ukraine in Moldova.

Zelensky’s fire and hire orgy lately is most disturbing.
Yeah, I’m concerned, too. Doesn’t Zelensky notice that to fire so many officials, that he had personally appointed to their jobs, reflects badly on his management skills? Even if he really was surrounded by losers (unlikely), who’s to blame for that but himself? I dunno what he’s thinking, but I don’t believe this position reshuffling will bring the results he must be expecting. 😕
Maybe it’s his total lack of political experience. Playing a president on a TV show doesn’t count.
Well, Zelenskyy certainly has considerable polizical talent. Still, you’re right, he’s short on actual experience. So, I’m afraid he has to rely on veteran politicians for that, actually like in the TV show. That’s how his brand new party got corrupted. The president is a great communicator, but not so strong as a party leader. And this shows in the brouhaha about the mobilization bill, which is bogged down in a crazy flood of ammendments from the “Servants of the People” themselves. Zelenskyy urgently needs to call the obstructionists to task, but he’s wasting efforts on reshuffling his government instead. That’s not a good look. ☹
Frankly spoken the loss of the occupied territories won’t hurt Ukraine too much if the rest can become a democratic economic powerhouse in Nato. Zelensky lost touch with reality and he lost his best men. On the other hand the US Congress must pass the aid bill asap, otherwise Ukraine will be gone and Trump, Johnson will end up the Hague.
Everybody but the highly controversial Yermak, who is seen by many as the biggest problem in government. Hmm. 🤔
