A message from Pastor Mark Burns* after his recent visit to Ukraine:

The war in Ukraine is bigger than Democrats or Republicans, the Left or the Right. Whether you dislike President Trump or President Zelensky, real people are dying here.

20,000 children have been kidnapped and stolen to Russia. 300 women were recently raped, as reported by multi-faith religious leaders. 700 religious buildings have been destroyed on purpose because they are often the only source of hope offered to the Ukrainian people. Innocent non-soldiers shot in the back of the head with their hands tied behind their backs.

We in America know how fake news lies constantly about our great President Trump. Well, it exists here too to sway popular opinion. When I’m seeing pictures of dead bodies of children and old people, or hear firsthand accounts of pastors having their hands tied behind their backs made to get on their knees and shot in the back of their heads, or the very young citizen soldiers who took up arms getting blown to pieces by attack drones thanking President Trump and begging for more ammunition to defend their homes, young wives, and children, I care less about whether you like President Zelensky or don’t want to give more money to Ukraine.

These soldiers on the front lines are not asking for money. They are asking for 1,000 tanks, 300 F-35s, anti-air weapons to shoot down the drones that still fire at civilian buildings, and killing people. Remember, it was President Trump who sent Javelins instead of pillows. President Trump is the innocent civilian of Ukraine’s greatest friend. He will bring an end to this war. Everyone here in Ukraine is thanking President Trump and America for standing with Ukraine.

Pray with me that peace comes quickly in Jesus’s name! And no, I’ve not been paid by no one. I’m was invited by Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, who’s done so much to help the refugees in Ukraine. For him and me, it’s not about politics it’s about human lives.

My loyalty is first to the Lord Jesus Christ and, second to my nation and president, Donald J. Trump.

This made me sick to my stomach. Praising Trump who has literally crippled Ukraine & allowed for the continuation of the horrendous war crimes Burns describes is absolutely disgusting. And to add insult to injury, he describes how “everyone” in Ukraine is grateful for & thanking Trump & America for standing with Ukraine. SMH.
One would think a man of God whose first loyalty to Christ would have him speak truth in his message about his visit to Ukraine.

Roman Sheremeta, I’m a bit surprised you posted this. He claims to understand the situation better now, yet refers to the “constant lies” about our “great president,“ Donald J. Trump.

I don’t know whether this guy is faking it or just confused—and will eventually come to an understanding that his attachment to Trump can’t coexist with his Christianity.

Pastor Burns, I am a born-again atheist, and worship no gods, especially your orange Jesus, Donald Trump. His motivation for ending the war in Ukraine, at all cost to Ukraine and all appeasement to Putin’s Russia, is to get his coveted Nobel Peace prize. In my opinion, no one could be less deserving than Trump. If Trump wants peace, he will set aside his narcissistic ambitions and fully fund the Ukrainian war effort, and stop appeasing the monster in Moscow.
