Currently, according to the expert, everything is being done to minimize the effectiveness of Russian air defense in Crimea

According to the military-political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko, the Crimean bridge will receive critical damage in the summer of 2024, but for this, appropriate conditions are necessary – they provide for the creation of a certain “passage yard” zone, which is being formed now.

“A zone is being created over the Crimean peninsula, which I call a ‘passage yard’. Russian air defense equipment is being destroyed. All this is needed so that our weapons can reach the Crimean bridge with less risk,” he told RBC-Ukraine .

According to the analyst, this is confirmed by the strikes on the airfields in Dzhankoy and Belbek, in particular, on the location of the anti-aircraft missile regiments on Ai-Petri and Tarkhankut. As the expert notes, the main target there was, rather, not the aircraft of the occupiers, but the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.

“Now everything is being done to minimize the effectiveness of Russian air defense in Crimea. As soon as this is done, we should expect strikes on the bridge,” Kovalenko believes.

Tonight, in the illegally occupied Crimea by Russia, the Simferopol district and the city of Alushta came under rocket fire. According to the so-called “governor” of the region Serhiy Aksyonov, two “passers-by” were killed as a result of the strike. He also stated that in the Alushta region “a hit was recorded on an empty commercial object”. In addition, the Russian Federation claims that three ATACMS missiles were shot down over the peninsula, and naval aviation destroyed three unmanned Ukrainian boats in the Black Sea.

At the same time, Ukrainian Telegram channels write that the target of the attack near Alushta was a communications facility in one of the military units of the Russian Federation in the region. According to the partisans, the communication node of the Russian occupiers (military unit 28735) in the village of Sonyaknohirske was hit. Later, the “Crimean Wind” channel wrote about a fire in the military unit of the FSB in the village of Semidvirya, located not far from Alushta. In addition, in the morning there was information that at least 6 ATACMS ballistic missiles hit the communication hub of the radar and anti-aircraft forces of the Russian Federation.
