This is the Christmas season eve in Ukraine when your neighbor is a terrorist neo-empire led by a psychopath and sustained by the silent approval of millions of its citizens. Today, Russians launched five ballistic missiles at the center of Kyiv, killing one person, injuring many others, and damaging numerous buildings, including the city’s architectural pearl, St. Nicholas Church. Dozens of ordinary Russians “with families, traditional values, and a sense of humor” — commanders, loaders, drivers, operators, and targeting officers — woke up, had breakfast, and then set out to kill unsuspecting civilians in a European city of three million, all during rush hour.
This is a painful reality, but what makes it even worse is the flood of Russian propaganda on social media, claiming that the West is responsible for this war or that Zelensky refuses to negotiate. Please don’t fall for these lies. This has been a deliberate war of aggression since its very beginning in 2014, with signs of it as early as 2003 (look up the “Tuzla Island causeway conflict”). So, this attack, like hundreds of others, is not a “response” or “retaliation,” as Moscow claims. It’s pure terror, enabled by years of Russian impunity and half-measures from the democratic world.

That church is a distinct gothic architecture, Roman catholic right. Attackers in particular demonstrated the hate toward Western civilization.

While the world’s most potent democracies bow to Putin with “peace” phone calls, Russians are gearing up to destroy Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and freeze Ukrainians through the winter. This Sunday morning, Russia launched a massive assault on Ukraine with 120 missiles and 90 drones.
Although Ukrainian defenders shot down 140 air targets, the remaining missiles and drones wreaked havoc on critical infrastructure, leaving people dead, injured, and in despair. With the continued delay of promised air defense systems and a ban on striking military bases that launch these relentless attacks, even the bravest army cannot fully protect its country from this onslaught.
Biden and Scholz, with their “escalation management,” only embolden Putin, granting him confidence and legitimacy while leaving Ukraine to fight with her hands tied behind her back. Putin will eagerly entertain their calls without agreeing to anything concrete — buying time for his army of murderers, rapists, and looters to regroup and continue their atrocities.
