Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that 80% of banking fraud in the country is committed by Ukrainians.

This was reported by Hungarian media with reference to his words on Radio Kossuth, Censor.NET informs.
Orban said that Ukrainians are “sophisticated and intelligent criminals” who defraud ordinary Hungarians, not speculators. He cited figures of thefts of 8 billion forints each year, of which only 1.5 billion have been recovered. The Prime Minister stressed that Ukrainians should not be admitted to the EU so as not to complicate the fight against fraud.
“Ukraine is a dangerous country,” Orban said.
In addition, Orban believes that Ukraine is using the war to strengthen its influence in Europe . He called Ukraine’s accession to the EU a tragedy that allegedly threatens Hungarian pensions, agriculture, and the economy in general.
At the same time, the Hungarian Prime Minister stated that it is possible to cooperate with Ukraine, but not to grant it equal rights with EU members. Agreements with Kyiv, he said, should be reached in a sectoral format so that they are beneficial for both Hungary and the European Union.
