During the fourth phase of Operation Vivaldi, Ukrainian forces liberated three settlements in the Lyman sector of the Donetsk region: Zelena Dolyna, Lypove, and Kolodiazi.

Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi, commander ofUkraine’s Third Army Corps, announced the operation’s results.

The Third Army Corps and attached units recaptured 101 square kilometers of territory and inflicted approximately 3,000 personnel losses on Russian forces.

“We prevented the enemy from outflanking the Sloviansk–Kramatorsk urban agglomeration and encircling it. We also secured the Kharkiv–Sloviansk highway. The enemy failed to cut off a key logistical artery supplying our forces in Donbas. We thwarted the offensive by the Russian ‘West’ grouping and forced it to redeploy some units of the 1st Tank Army, which eased the pressure on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi,” Andrii Biletskyi shared.

The offensive involved units of the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 60th Mechanized Brigade, the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, the 25th Assault Battalion, and the 21st KRAKEN Unmanned Systems Battalion.

They were supported by attached units, including the 66th Mechanized Brigade, the 3rd Border Guard Detachment, the 10th Dozor Mobile Border Guard Detachment, tactical groups from the 8th Special Operations Forces Regiment, the National Guard’s Lasar’s Group, the K-2 Unmanned Systems Forces unit, and unmanned systems units of the Security Service of Ukraine’s Special Operations Center “A.”

Throughout the operation, Ukrainian forces have regained full control of 16 settlements and liberated 277 square kilometers of territory. According to Biletskyi, Russian forces have suffered 8,000 personnel losses.

Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi said all four phases of Operation Vivaldi were complete, but the operation was far from over.

In September, the 3rd Army Corps told Militarnyi that its unmanned systems units had launched 36,000 strike missions during Operation Vivaldi, targeting Russian forces’ supply lines and logistics infrastructure.
