OPERATION VELES: Underground into the Enemy Rear | R.U.G (video)

Fighters from the 23rd Assault Regiment of the R.U.H. took part in a unique counter-offensive operation, codenamed “Veles,” in the Kupiansk sector. The operation was carried out by a group of Defense Forces units under the command of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) — the “Khartia” Brigade. Underground maneuvers and combat within confined tunnels were coordinated with surface operations and drone strikes. Through this joint effort, forces advanced more than 15 kilometers via underground infrastructure, effectively preventing the occupiers from reaching the rear of Kupiansk. Over 30 Russian soldiers were taken prisoner. Our regiment was part of this operation. The video shows combat footage from “Veles,” including the clearing of tunnel exits and movement underground. We strike the enemy on the ground, in the sky, and underground.
