“Only one out of seven survived”: border guards captured a Russian soldier in the Kharkiv region

04/15/2026

During the assault operations in the north of the Kharkiv region, the command of the Russian invaders does not take into account the personnel and the more than probable possibility of their loss. However, the privates of the occupying army only realize when they are captured that they are being used as “meat for slaughter.”

This follows from their own admissions. Border guards from the “Gart” brigade, who spoke with the Russian attack pilot who managed to save his life, released a video of the prisoner’s interrogation.

Without a head on your shoulders

Only now does the invader Konstantin, who in a group of seven people went to storm the Pishchany district (a village in the Kupyansky district, part of the Kuryliv community), understand how unreasonable the commands of his commanders and his own behavior were. Of the entire group, he was the only one left alive.

And this is a real miracle – because such groups of invaders are hunted not only by Ukrainian defenders, but also by the invaders themselves.

“If I had a head on my shoulders … What I felt at least in these two days, what happened to me… When you say on the radio that “resets” are coming for us, and they answer: “Don’t be afraid, we are covering you, they are ours,” the prisoner said.

Management sees everything

“I think the leadership sees everything, but still pushes people to the slaughter. Of my group, I am the only one of seven who survived,” says the invader.

His story is quite typical: Konstantin went to war to “pay off debts” and “pay alimony.” As usual, the occupier was promised service on Russian territory, but was brought to the front lines and thrown into battle.

“When our own people discovered us, they started dropping shells, explosives – everything they had. I started to retreat back, to where we started moving and where two more people remained alive. But there, too, shelling and explosions had already begun. When I was able to get out from under the rubble, I saw one dead person, and later they reported that two more were also “two hundred”. Then the Mavic noticed me and suggested that I surrender. Then the drone led, and I followed it,” the Russian said.

Other prisoners

Let us recall how Ukrainian defenders in the South Slobozhansk direction captured the Russian invader Stanislav . The Russian was stunned that the Ukrainians, risking their own lives, saved him, that they did not torture him, and that they generally communicated with him without using obscene language.

As OBOZ.UA reported, soldiers of the 47th separate mechanized brigade captured a Belarusian citizen who fought on the side of Russia and tried to surrender. While trying to cross the front line, he was blown up by a mine and injured. But Ukrainian soldiers carried him on their backs for about 10 kilometers through dangerous territory ( see the corresponding video here ).

Earlier, Ukrainian fighters captured 38-year-old Russian occupier Andriy from Krasnoyarsk – the man agreed to kill Ukrainians in order not to go to prison. However, at the front he faced the real realities of war, in the form of inadequate instructions from commanders and horrific pictures of killed occupiers …
