Only in russia: Instead of houses, the people who lost their homes get a photo shoot

9.11.2024

The Russian  State Duma has come up with a way to “help” residents of the Kursk region who lost their homes as a result of the war unleashed by Russia. For Russians who have nowhere to live, Russian deputies have proposed organizing a photo shoot.

Instead of the housing certificates previously promised by the Kursk region governor, they will receive a “New Year’s miracle”, and Russian legislators do not intend to pay for it. The Moscow Times, recognized as a “foreign agent” in the Russian Federation, reports the details.

An offer of unprecedented generosity, worthy of an oil and gas “superpower”, was made by State Duma deputy from Kursk Oblast Elena Kharchenko. She is convinced that her fellow countrymen, who have been left homeless and who have left the region and are knocking on the doors of government agencies asking for help with housing, are missing the most a festive photo shoot for the New Year.

Instead of houses – a photo shoot: Russia decided to help Kursk region residents who lost their homes in an "original" way

“Let’s give a New Year’s miracle together to the families of our fellow countrymen from Sudzhansky, Korenevsky, Rylsky, Glushkovsky and other districts who lost their homes. After all, there, in old photo albums, their memories remained that warmed the soul,” Kharchenko wrote on her Telegram channel.

At the same time, the State Duma deputy wants to implement her initiative with the help of others: in her opinion, the photo shoot should be carried out free of charge by photographers and owners of photo studios. Kharchenko approached them with a proposal to give photo books to refugees from Kursk region.

Kharchenko also stated that a “New Year’s miracle” awaits the residents of Kursk region who fled the war: however, she did not mean square meters, but photo books.

“We will create a new history for the Kursk residents who lost their homes, family photo albums, everything that reminded them of their family’s past,” the State Duma deputy emphasized.

According to official data, more than 112 thousand people have left the Kursk region since the start of the operation of the Defense Forces. And at the beginning of September, the local governor Alexei Smirnov promised all evacuees certificates for the purchase of housing.

However, by November, judging by dozens of appeals from Kursk region residents on social networks to Putin asking for help with housing, this promise had not been fulfilled.

Let us recall that the US confirmed the participation of the DPRK military in the battles against the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk region. In particular, the Ukrainians clashed with the Koreans on November 4. However, American officials did not release any details of the clash or data on possible losses of North Korean troops.

  1. “We will create a new history for the Kursk residents who lost their homes, family photo albums, everything that reminded them of their family’s past,”

Is that a joke or cynicism at its worst?
Well, the muscovite needs bombs, missiles and tanks, There is no money for the people.
But, who really cares? Those ruskies deserve to be treated like that. The majority still support shorty and his brutal war. Many more ruskies should suffer tremendous hardships, losses, and despair.

  2. Fantastic, a consolation photo shoot!

You lost your home and everything, but you get some shithouse photos.

I hope they come on a memory stick because the fuckers have nowhere now to keep a photo album or display the photos.
