Dear LinkedIn community,

Tell me honestly – 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜?

I hear it often: “This is not professional content.”

🇪🇺🇬🇧 But today, the Office of the EU Representation to Ukraine and the British Council in Kyiv were damaged.

🕯️Today, 19 people were 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 – among them 5 children. The youngest was only 3 years old.
That also means at least 14 professionals never made it to work in Kyiv today.

… and yet, the rest still went to their offices after the attack.

This morning in the elevator of my business center, I said: “Good morning — if it is a good one.”
A young woman replied: “𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐩, 𝐬𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.”

A million Ukrainians were forced to retrain and become soldiers.

On top of their usual skills, Ukrainians are now experts in: Advocacy, Fundraising, Drone building and piloting, Casualty care, Procurement, etc

Every Ukrainian office now has a shelter. During meetings and trainings, with hundreds of participants, we all pause for air alerts.

𝐖𝐚𝐫 has completely transformed our labor market, forcing people to reeducate, reskill, and reinvent themselves.

Our “work-life balance” has turned into a 𝐰𝐚𝐫-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.

So, do you still believe war is not a professional topic for this platform?

Imagine what would happen to Ukraine if we didn’t defend ourselves?

Just two blocks away from my office in Kyiv, this building was attacked.

Last night, 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚 launched 639 air strikes against Ukraine.

Our Armed Forces managed to neutralize 563 Shahed drones and 26 missiles.

But the cost is heavy:
🕯️10 people 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 and 48 𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝

Ukraine cannot rely on 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚’s so-called “security guarantees” – and not even on the USA or anyone else.

We need support and investment in our defense tech sector and our army.

Because the Ukrainian Armed Forces are our only true security guarantee.
