One of the world’s largest shipping companies, Hapag-Lloyd, is opening an office in Ukraine.

The office will be located in Odessa, at present it already has more than 20 employees.

The company noted the favorable geographical location of Ukraine, which became one of the decisive factors in opening a Ukrainian office.

“Hapag-Lloyd’s attractive export market also makes Ukraine rich in various mineral resources and one of the world’s largest agricultural productions. Ukraine is an important importer of electronics, equipment and consumer goods, as well as the venue of a number of the world’s largest multinational companies, which opens wide opportunities for maritime carriers such as Hapag-Lloyd, “the company said in a statement.

“The country’s economic growth is convincing, and many Ukrainian shippers are already using Hapag-Lloyd’s services. By opening our new office in Ukraine, we pay tribute to the excellent business development and the huge chances we see in this market, ”the company’s management said.

Hapag-Lloyd currently has a fleet of 241 modern container vessels with a total capacity of 1.7 million tons. It is one of the world’s leading liner shipping companies. The company has more than 13,300 employees working in 395 offices in 131 countries.

Hapag-Lloyd’s container capacity is about 2.8 million tons, including one of the largest and most modern refrigerated container parks. A total of 121 line services around the world provide connections between more than 600 ports on all continents. Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world’s major operators of transatlantic, Middle Eastern, Latin American and North American agreements.
