Road workers have completed work on the largest infrastructure facility in Ukraine with a total length of 10 km.

On Saturday, August 23, the Podilskyi bridge crossing in Kyiv will be fully reopened to traffic in all lanes in both directions. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on Telegram .

According to him, road workers have completed work on the largest infrastructure facility in Ukraine with a total length of 10 km.

“4 lanes (for cars, public transport and cyclists) in each direction on the section from Naberezhno-Khreshchatykska to Rusanivske Sady. And then – 2 lanes. We will also open traffic through both parts of the newly built tunnel,” he noted.

Klitschko informed that, in particular, bicycle paths in both directions with a total length of over 11 km were installed on the bridge, and lanes for public transport were provided.

In addition, according to the mayor, an additional traffic light was installed on the bridge at the intersection of the Podilskyi bridge crossing and Central Sadova Street with a change in traffic organization.

“The transport interchange for high-speed tram and city train passengers has been fully equipped. Currently, some technical work is being completed at the facility,” he added.
