On the night of May 15, powerful explosions began to be heard in Ryazan, russia. As of five o’clock in the morning, the explosions were still continuing, and a fire was raging in the city. Heavy smoke was also observed.

According to them, the explosions began around 2 a.m. In total, it is noted that several dozen loud explosions were heard in different parts of the city.
As a result of the work of Russian air defense, a house was damaged, and local media outlets reported the death of three civilians. In particular, the video shows a missile from the Russian Pantsir air defense system hitting a house with civilians.

The administrative center of the Ryazan region has recently become known to Ukrainians primarily for the Ryazan Oil Refinery. This refinery is one of the largest in the Russian Federation.
Since November 2025, the Ryazan refinery has repeatedly been a target for Ukrainian drones.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of the oil and gas processing plants of the Russian occupiers. These are the “Yaroslavsky” and “Astrakhansky” plants.
Both enterprises are important infrastructure facilities of the occupiers and are involved in meeting the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex.
Earlier, Ukrainian drones also attacked Taman, Krasnodar Territory. The target of the strike was a seaport that tranships various cargoes for export.
