Explosions were heard in Yaroslavl, Russia, on the night of July 6.
After them, smoke rose above the city.
Local residents reported an attack on the Yaroslavl oil refinery, according to the Telegram channel Exilenova+.
What is known
Exilenova+ began reporting about the Defense Forces strike on the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery after 4 a.m.
“Yaroslavl, local residents report a successful attack on the refinery,” the message said.
The channel also published numerous videos and photos showing smoke above the impact site.

The network reported that the exit from Yaroslavl towards Moscow was closed to eliminate the consequences of the attack. That is where the affected plant is located.
The fire at the refinery is confirmed by the NASA FIRMS service.

Yaroslavl Refinery (or “Slavneft-YANOS”) is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Russian Federation.
The enterprise’s design capacity is 15 million tons of oil per year.
The plant produces automobile gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, and other petroleum products that are important for ensuring the military logistics of the aggressor state.
As OBOZ.UA reported, according to the Financial Times, Ukrainian drones, with the help of US intelligence, have struck Russian refineries almost 200 times since the beginning of the year.
And the General Staff recently reported that Ukraine has disabled almost 43% of Russia’s oil refining. In the last month alone, 8 oil refineries and over 60 tanks with crude oil and petroleum products have been successfully hit.
In the territory of the Russian Federation, as a result of “long-range sanctions” by the Defense Forces, the fuel crisis is intensifying, and damaged plants are being repaired with significant delays due to a lack of equipment.

Good, Ukraine, keep the fires going. Mafia land must burn!
