What is known about the company?

Tuapse Oil Refinery (REF) is one of the oldest and most significant enterprises in the Russian oil industry, part of Rosneft. The plant occupies a strategic position on the Black Sea coast, which determines its key role both in exports and in providing fuel to the nearest regions.

After a large-scale modernization, the design refining capacity is about 12 million tons of oil per year (approximately 240 thousand barrels per day). The refinery produces straight-run gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil and vacuum gas oil.

About 90% of production was traditionally exported through the Tuapse Sea Terminal. The main markets are Turkey, China, Malaysia and Singapore.

The Tuapse refinery is a key link in the fuel and lubricants supply chain for the forces operating in the southern direction and in the occupied Crimea. The plant is capable of producing fuel needed for armored vehicles and aircraft. Damage to such facilities directly affects the mobility of troops.
