On the night of April 18, a series of powerful explosions thundered in occupied Sevastopol. According to preliminary information, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot and the former headquarters of the Navy, located at 33 Rudnyova Street.
After the attack, a massive fire broke out in the city and a column of black smoke rose. This is reported by monitoring Telegram channels.
Explosions in occupied Crimea
According to the Crimean Wind channel, an oil depot on Cape Manganari in Sevastopol is on fire after a drone attack. The drone attack lasted from 00:35 to 02:40.
It is worth noting that the occupation authorities confirmed the arrival of the oil depot, but downplayed the consequences of the shelling. The so-called governor, Mykhailo Razvozhaev, claimed that “there were no fuel reserves there” and that the fire started in a “tank with fuel residues.”

It was also reported that in Sevastopol, local residents observed a strong fire in the direction of Ocheretyan and Kozacha bays. OSINT channels confirm that at least two arrivals were recorded at the former headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy in Sevastopol.
Propaganda channels reported another “successful” repulse of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Russian air defense forces, and claimed that “22 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down during the operation.” In addition, the Russians, by tradition, call the source of the fire “debris” of downed UAVs.

Continuation of the series of blows
According to the OSINT community CyberBoroshno, the attack on the oil depot in Sevastopol is a continuation of a recent chain of attacks on the fuel infrastructure of Crimea. Recently, ferries bringing fuel to Crimea were hit on the occupied peninsula, and oil depots in Feodosia and the settlements of Oktyabrske and Glyboky Yar were attacked.
There is no classic oil refinery (refinery) in Sevastopol itself, but there are large oil depots used for fuel storage.
Sevastopol oil depots remain priority targets due to their logistical role in supplying the Russian occupation army.

As a reminder, fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine neutralized the last railway ferry of the Russian occupiers in Kerch. The strike on the facility was carried out on the night of April 6.
It was previously reported that the fire at the Tuapse refinery is still not extinguished after an attack by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As OBOZ.UA reported, explosions rocked another oil refinery in Russia on the morning of April 18. The hits caused a massive fire at the Novokuibyshevsk refinery.

Another nice little blaze in mafia temporary occupied territory.
“In addition, the Russians, by tradition, call the source of the fire “debris” of downed UAVs.”
We’ve taken note of this a long time ago.
