On the night of March 16, unknown drones visited Krasnodar Krai (Russia). An oil depot in Labinsk came under attack.
A significant fire and smoke were recorded at the facility, according to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.
How it all began
Information about the UAV threat in the Krasnodar Territory began to appear after midnight.
“A drone danger has been declared in the Krasnodar Territory. Residents are asked to remain calm and avoid open spaces. There is a risk of falling UAV debris. Be careful!” the message said.
Successful attack
Subsequently, local residents began actively publishing videos showing a large fire and columns of black smoke above the refinery.
The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory confirmed the attack on the oil terminal in Labinsk, traditionally downplaying the consequences. They emphasized that the arrival of drones at the facility caused a “flash”.
“In the Labinsk industrial zone, as a result of a UAV attack, an explosion occurred on the territory of an oil depot. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. 4 crews, personnel of fire and rescue units, and specialists of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory are involved in extinguishing the fire,” the report says.
Already in the morning, the Russians shared photos again, showing that the facility attacked at night continues to burn down.
It is worth noting that Krasnodar Krai, where Labinsk is located, is an important logistics hub through which Russian troops in the southern direction receive fuel. That is why strikes in this region can seriously affect the stability of supplies for Russian units.
