Nosikov noted that the creation of voluntary formations of territorial communities is permitted under Ukrainian law.

In Odessa and the Odessa region, where water bodies have turned red , civilians are being actively involved in the defense of the city and the region. This was stated by the commander of the operational-tactical group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Odessa” Denis Nosikov in  an interview  with the Radio Liberty project Crimea.Realities.

He claims that civilians are being taught to fly drones and trained at training grounds. Nosikov noted that the creation of voluntary formations of territorial communities (VFTC) is permitted under Ukrainian law.

According to him, they are an additional mobilization resource in the event of an attempt by the Russian army to capture the city and land troops.

“We use them in the crew of FPV interceptors. A lot of civilians perform these tasks, who are members of the DFTG in different communities. Plus, in case, God forbid, there is a landing and the enemy makes such a decision – to still try to capture the Odessa region. That is, this is a large additional mobile resource of ours, these are our people who are already trained, who will be in service. These are thousands of people,” said the commander of the OTU “Odesa”.

  1. It’s good to be prepared, but I highly doubt that russia could take Odesa in the next 100 years.

    • The ruskies suck at amphibious landings. They always have and always will and things have not gone well for their stained Black Sea Fleet, which makes this scenario even less likely.
