Occupiers hit Odessa suburb with cluster munitions: there are casualties

The bodies were found during an inspection of the destroyed house.

The occupiers struck the Odessa region with ballistic missiles containing a cluster warhead, resulting in the death of a married couple.

At about 20:16, an air raid alarm was declared in the Odessa region. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of ballistics from the south. A few minutes later, residents of a number of settlements heard powerful explosions.

Subsequently, the head of the Odessa regional military administration Oleg Kiper reported that the strike was carried out on the Odessa region. The region was preliminarily attacked by missiles with a prohibited cluster warhead. As a result of the strike, residential buildings were damaged in the suburbs of Odessa.

“During the examination, the bodies of two deceased were discovered: a man and a woman born in 1958 and 1962… A 65-year-old woman was also injured. She received shrapnel wounds to the head and right hip joint. The victim was hospitalized in a moderate condition,” Kiper detailed.

This missile strike followed two nights during which the invaders attacked the Odessa and Izmail districts with drones. According to Kiper, tonight, as a result of the fall of drone debris in the suburbs of Odessa on the territory of a private home, three buildings were destroyed, a residential building and a garage were damaged. In addition, in the Odessa district, the fall of UAV debris on the territory of a residential sector caused a fire on the roof of a private house.

“At another location, as a result of the Russian attack, a car and a warehouse caught fire. The State Emergency Service employees quickly extinguished the fire,” the official said.
