The strikes on the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv caused destruction and fires. At this moment, 9 people are already known to have been injured.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES). They detailed that the fires occurred in a 4-story abandoned building, a dental clinic, and also on the roof of a residential building. 

“Residential buildings, a maternity hospital, shops, a garage, and cars were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate 9 victims,” ​​the report says.

As the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, added , the enemy attacked the Saltivskyi district with two drones, as a result of which an unused building, a shop, the glazing of the windows of a maternity hospital and an apartment building were damaged, and a garage was destroyed.Read also:

At the same time, the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, reported that the morning explosions hit a maternity hospital, where women in labor with their babies were. “We will now evacuate them to another medical facility,” he noted.

Later, the Ministry of Health (MOH) detailed that in total, during the morning attack, the Russians damaged three medical facilities in the Kharkiv region: a maternity hospital, a dental clinic, and a city hospital.

In particular, according to the Ministry of Health, more than 40 windows were damaged in the maternity ward. Women with children and medical workers were the targets. 

“The dental clinic suffered significant damage and is beyond repair – a suicide bomber hit the building between the first and second floors. There were no casualties there either,” the report says.

In addition, the city hospital in Chuguiv suffered significant damage – over 200 windows and 100 doors were broken, and two employees and two patients were injured.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that among the victims were 3 women and their babies: three boys, two of whom were born yesterday and one on July 8.

“The mothers and babies were diagnosed with acute stress reaction. They were in a maternity hospital, which was attacked by Russian UAVs this morning,” the report says.
