Occupiers Attack Odessa with Drones: Fire Breaks Out in City

On the evening of March 3, the Russian army attacked Odessa and the Odessa region with attack drones, local residents reported a fire.

As reported by a UNIAN correspondent, an air raid alarm was declared in the city at approximately 20:49. The head of the Odessa OVA Oleg Kiper reported that there is a threat of the use of attack drones for the Odessa region, he asked residents to take shelter.

Soon, explosions began in the city. Monitoring channels reported that a large number of Russian UAVs were moving from the Black Sea to different areas of the city, and drones were also spotted in the Odessa region.

Social networks reported that power outages and voltage surges began in some areas of Odessa.

Odessans who were in the Arcadia beach area at the time of the attack were very scared because they saw many drones and did not know where to hide. Local residents also reported a fire due to the hit.

Kiper later said that the strike damaged energy infrastructure, with emergency power outages in effect in parts of the city.

Utility services have already begun work to start generators to power critical infrastructure, including boilers.

Additional points of invincibility are being deployed. In addition, two private homes and a business center were damaged by falling debris and blast waves.

Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov reported that as a result of the shelling, the work of three district boiler houses in the city was stopped:

“We are working to restart the heating supply process as quickly as possible using alternative power sources… Information about the victims is being clarified, the task force and city utilities are working.”

According to the head of the OVA, Oleg Kiper, there is damage to the energy infrastructure. Emergency shutdowns are in effect in part of the city.

According to unofficial data, more than 20 thousand people were left without power.
