Russian occupiers attacked Mykolaiv on Friday, July 19. As a result of the attack, at least three people were killed and two more were injured. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky .

It is noted that the impact occurred in a children’s playground near an ordinary residential building.

At 16:51 an air raid alarm was declared in Nikolaev , and the Ukrainian Air Force reported a danger to the city at 17:10. In particular, it was about a missile in Nikolaev region, residents of the regional center were asked to immediately go to shelter.

The city’s mayor, Alexander Senkevich, later reported the explosion.

“An explosion was heard in Nikolaev. Please stay in safe places. Details later. Do not post anything online!” the mayor emphasized.

Lights out was announced at 17:20, and Senkevich later added that there were casualties.

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitaly Kim, reported that doctors are being sent to the site of the injury.

“The ambulances are on their way,” he said.

Kim also added that the consequences of the strike were terrible.

“This is terrible… There is no justification for the Russians. They are terrorists,” the official emphasized.

He stressed that before the ambulances arrived, many people rushed to help the victims. There is another hit in the region, but the situation there is “more or less”.

Senkevich later clarified that three people were already known to have died, including a child.

One of the local Telegram channels reported that the child was about 10 years old. He did not manage to run to the entrance during the alarm – he was torn to pieces.

The hit occurred, previously, with an X-59 missile, on the fence of an ordinary courtyard in the city.
