Nothing in your plans for the future will matter unless Russia is defeated in Ukraine

Two years in Ukraine… (A Warning!)

Two years since Russia made its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine to overthrow a democratically elected government and replace it with a Russia controlled puppet regime. For two long years Ukraine has fought Russia with superior tactics, courage, and support from the west. Russia in return has lost a quarter of its Black Sea fleet and control of the Black Sea. They have lost more than 400,000 men in battle, lost billions of dollars’ worth of military materiel and their main income source for oil and gas, – Europe. Russia struggles to find labour for factories that have turned to war manufacturing, struggle to find men to replace the dead in its army and struggle to maintain the support of the public, despite controlling mass media. Putin has murdered his main rival Alexei Navalny and has blocked all opponents from running against him.

Tomorrow on the 24th February, main media outlets will report it is two years since Russia invaded Ukraine, they will report how terrible the war is, how hard it is for Ukraine to hold out. Few will mention the failure of the USA to maintain its support for Ukraine and the treasonous activities of Trump’s MAGA extremists in the House of Representatives. Even fewer will mention the recently proven fact that GOP claims about Biden corruption have proven to come from Russian intelligence sources; the FBI has arrested this “highly credible” source. Meanwhile, the most important war in Europe since WW2 continues, hundreds of thousands die, and the USA wrings its hands in mock sympathy. Time to get a goddamn grip!

In three days, news reports will return to local affairs, protests in London by ‘No More Oil’ illegal immigration and Boris Johnson’s tea party (just in case he makes a comeback). Someone will talk about homelessness; charities will continue to donate an average of 2.5% of their turnover to worthy causes and the population in the west will pretend that Ukraine does not affect them.

So, here I am again after two years, shouting into the wind. Nothing in your plans for the future will matter unless Russia is defeated in Ukraine. Your money in the bank, your property, your children’s education, your job, and your insurance policy will all be worthless data on a computer screen, if Russia is allowed to dominate Europe. Americans with all their money crammed into the stock market will wave it goodbye when the world economy collapses. Do not tell me it cannot happen! It happened before and ended with atomic bombs. We are the victims of failed deterrent, of failed defences of failed governments.

If Ukraine loses, we all lose. We lose our voices and our rights; we lose the right to choose our leaders and we lose our secure futures. Russia must be defeated. If Ukraine loses, we all lose. If we do not win now our children and grandchildren will die in an expanded war of democracy against tyranny.

Slava Ukraini!
Who Dares Shares.

  1. Mr. Horsfall once again nails it in this dire warning against complacency and inaction. We must do ALL we can to enable Ukraine to be victorious. Things have already spilled over in a hybrid way. If pootin and his horde of orc zombies are not stopped he will continue to push, and the war will further spread and spill over. Western dithering will not contain him and his maniacal march of join us or die. As the medic on the frontlines stated, I am ashamed of the West and it’s “leadership”.

  2. “We are the victims of failed deterrent, of failed defences of failed governments.”

We were failed by useless leaders and those who own them; corrupt, money hungry companies that earn billions in mafia land and bat virus land.
