As stated in the Defense Express material , it is not yet known which drone was used. However, there are some details about the attacked enterprise – the 711th Aviation Repair Plant.

Company profile:

  • air-to-air missiles: R-27, R-73, R-33

Information about this was in the plant’s annual reports until 2021. Then these reports ceased to be public.

“With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation actively began to use Kh-55 and Kh-555 cruise missiles, as well as Kh-22, for attacks, which needed to be restored; most likely the 711th ARZ took a fairly active part in this work,” – writes the portal.

It should also be noted that the R-33 air-to-air missile is a long-range means of destroying air targets at a range of up to 160 km and is used by the MiG-31.

Attack on Borisoglebsk

Today, Russian Telegram channels reported that on the night of April 9, drones attacked the Borisoglebsk aviation training center in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation.

Russian publics noted that the center was allegedly attacked by two drones. Although the occupiers officially reported that the UAV was shot down, footage appeared online that clearly shows that the “birds” flew towards the target and hit it. Thus, in the video of the moment of the attack, it was noticeable that the Russians tried to shoot down the UAV by opening fire from several points in the center. However, powerful explosions are subsequently seen and heard.

Subsequently, UNIAN’s source in the special services reported that the attack on the Borisoglebsk aviation training center in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation was a GUR operation. “The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense was behind the attack on the aviation training center in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region. There is significant damage to the main production workshop,” the agency’s interlocutor noted.
