The eight-month pause that preceded the US Congress’s positive decision on aid completely depleted all Ukrainian reserves.

Despite military aid packages from the US and Europe, Ukraine still faces critical shortages of ammunition, both due to slow deliveries and very high needs, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria .
“We need to prepare 14 brigades. At present, we have not equipped even four of this package of brigades… We need too many,” Zelensky explained.
He added that this is precisely why Ukraine is developing domestic production of drones, although it is also not enough.
The President also explained that the eight-month pause that preceded the positive decision of the US Congress completely depleted all Ukrainian reserves.
“What have we done during these eight months? We have used everything we could. We have transferred what we have in reserves and what we have in warehouses or in reserve brigades that we need now. Everything they had, we took – all their weapons,” Zelensky explained.
