Not a gas station anymore: Zelensky reported how many Russian refineries have been affected this year

The President announced the preparation of a massive Russian strike on Ukraine.

From January to May of this year, our soldiers were able to hit 15 Russian oil refineries . Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an evening video address.

He noted that our long-range sanctions plan against Russia is being implemented step by step. According to him, between January and May of this year, Ukrainian soldiers were able to hit 15 Russian refineries.

“This is significant. There are already Russian bans on the export of aviation fuel and gasoline from their territory, and they are considering a ban on the export of diesel. For a country that was recently called a gas station, losing even this is a significant story, a significant loss,” Zelensky emphasized.

At the same time, he added that almost 40% of primary oil refining in Russia was out of order as of May.

The President of Ukraine warned that Russia had prepared a massive strike on Ukraine.

“Intelligence warnings about Russian strikes remain in effect. A massive strike may happen, they have prepared it. Our sky defenders are ready 24/7 as much as possible with the available supplies,” Zelensky stressed.
