The Norwegian government has approved an increase in aid to Ukraine this year.
This is reported by NRK, citing Norwegian Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg and the head of the country’s defense ministry, Tore Onshuus Sandvik, LIGA.net reports .

The increase in aid to Ukraine was processed and approved by the Norwegian government on April 4.
Stoltenberg said that a support package of 50 billion Norwegian kroner ($4.67 billion) had been approved, in addition to the previous 35 billion Norwegian kroner ($3.27 billion) .
The total amount of aid to Ukraine in 2025 will be 85 billion Norwegian kroner, equivalent to $7.94 billion .
“We will triple military support,” Stoltenberg stressed, adding that the money will be spent abroad and thus will not put pressure on the Norwegian economy.
In early March, it was reported that the Norwegian parliament agreed to increase aid to Ukraine by 50 billion Norwegian kroner ($4.6 billion) to 85 billion Norwegian kroner ($7.8 billion) in 2025.
At the end of February this year, it became known that Norway would allocate 3.5 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine in 2025 , 1 billion euros for humanitarian support, 300 million euros for energy, and another 300 million euros for industrial development.
In January, Norway contributed to a multinational initiative to purchase drones for Ukraine , allocating 700 million kroner ($61.43 million).
In December last year, Norway announced the allocation of 2.7 billion Norwegian kroner (about $242.38 million) to strengthen Ukraine’s maritime defense.
