A ministry spokesman says the United States “remains concerned.”

A total of about 10,000 North Korean soldiers have been sent to the east of the Russian Federation . They could join Russian forces near Ukraine within weeks.

This was reported during a briefing by the press secretary of the US Department of Defense, Major General Pat Ryder. According to him, approximately several thousand foreign soldiers have moved closer to the border with Ukraine in the direction of the Kursk region. A smaller number is already present in this region:

“We remain concerned that Russia seeks to use these soldiers in combat or in support of combat operations against Ukrainian forces. We continue to monitor the situation closely, in consultation with our Ukrainian partners and other allies.”
