The President emphasized that intelligence data on Russian ballistic missile launches helps save lives.

Ukraine’s partners failed to warn it of the ballistic missile attack on Kyiv that occurred late in the evening of October 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced .
He emphasized that from that evening until now, the Russians have attacked Ukraine with more than a hundred different means of attack: jet drones, loitering munitions, and ballistic missiles.
“There was also a rather cowardly ballistic missile attack on Kyiv – five missiles that hit civilian infrastructure. Regarding this attack, unfortunately, there was no warning from our partners. Intelligence about Russian ballistic missile launches helps save lives, and this is one of the most critical issues. This is precisely what helps prevent loss of life when there is a warning about ballistic missiles,” the head of state noted.
At the same time, the president emphasized that Ukraine has not launched any attacks on Russian oil refineries or the energy sector in general in the two days since the US president announced a ceasefire in the energy sector.
“But Russia disobeyed the US President. During this time, the Russians attacked both our energy facilities and our critical infrastructure, sending absolutely clear signals that they will not refrain from striking Ukraine. Over these two days alone, 19 regions of our country have come under attack,” Zelenskyy noted.
He also added that Ukraine is ready to take reciprocal steps to de-escalate, and that effective pressure must be exerted on Russia to ensure de-escalation takes place.
“Wars end when the aggressor feels they have no option but to prolong the conflict. The international community’s pressure on Russia contributes precisely to this – bringing peace closer. But direct or indirect support for Russia, withholding aid to Ukraine, and making it more difficult to protect lives from ballistic missile strikes – these are things that will certainly not contribute to peace,” he concluded.
At the same time, according to Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, Ukraine continues to receive intelligence data from the United States.
“Do we receive intelligence from the American side? Yes, we continue this cooperation,” he said during the Warsaw Security Forum, according to Ukrinform .
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the minister was referring to the transfer of intelligence in general, and not specifically to yesterday’s Russian attack.
The Telegram channel Ukraine Context , which is considered close to the head of the Presidential Office, Kirill Budanov, reported that relevant agencies are currently determining whether the partners’ failure to warn Ukraine about yesterday’s five-missile strike on Kyiv was intentional, or whether they failed to detect the launches for technical reasons.
“And only after this will appropriate conclusions be drawn,” the statement said.
