According to the Hungarian politician, the new US president will have a completely different approach to solving military conflicts.
The results of this week’s US presidential election have created entirely new political realities, realities and environments. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijártó, on Kossuth Radio, Telex reports .
He noted that the US administration, government and president will have a completely different, peaceful approach to the pro-military position they have taken until now, which “calls into question and forces to change the completely failed European strategy of supplying weapons, placing weapons on the territory of Russia and accepting new sanctions packages”.
Szijjártó believes that the victory of Donald Trump shows a new reality not only in world politics, but also in the life of Hungary. According to him, the victory of the republican in the elections means that there is a chance that “the next year can bring peace back to Europe.”
The politician emphasized that thanks to peace, completely different economic opportunities open up than during the war.
