The Swedish chain of furniture and home goods stores IKEA is returning to Ukraine, technical preparations are currently underway.

Economic Truth writes about this with reference to two sources in the market.
“Technical preparatory work is underway. The date of the start of work is currently unknown,” said one of the interlocutors.
As Forbes learned , the decision to resume work was made by IKEA’s Swedish management in May.
“The return and success of H&M was an important signal for the head office of IKEA, and they also closely followed the recovery of Inditex,” says an interlocutor at the international development company.
The Swedish retailer IKEA entered the Ukrainian market in 2020. However, the company’s only store, located in the Blockbuster Mall, operated for only a year. After the start of a full-scale war, the company suspended work in Ukraine.
As reported, in April 2024 the Spanish group Inditex resumed the operation of the first 20 stores of its brands in Ukraine, including Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear and others.
The Swedish chain of clothing stores H&M resumed operations in Ukraine earlier – in November 2023.

Bad news. IKEA furniture is particle-board crap. I want Russia to replace all the beautiful, high quality, natural-wood antiques it destroyed.
