“We are extremely troubled that the Trump administration is pressuring Ukraine to accept a punishing deal under duress.

If the Trump administration follows through on its threat to withhold weapons purchased by Europe and end intelligence support, the White House will embolden Putin, endanger the rest of the free world, and prolong the war, not end it.

We call on friends of peace in Congress and leaders across the United States to urge, publicly and privately, that any deal to end the war must include ironclad guarantees for Ukraine — and to insist that the White House take into account the will of Ukraine’s democratic society.”

Every time I get my hopes up that Trump will come through and understand that dealing with as if they are a trustworthy entity is absolutely foolish. I don’t know what kind of idiotic advice she’s getting from his advisors in this

I’m hoping at the end of the day this deal isn’t as bad as it sounds because the precedent of rewarding that POS Putin and his failed mafia state with conquered territory on this day and edge has severe ramifications.

Trump risks damaging his legacy severely, and it isn’t gonna be about peace. I see Chamberlain 2.0
It’s going to be one where he was taken for a fool and used by Putin and he went along with it willingly because I don’t think I need any special talents to predict that Russia will not honour this treaty and even if they do, it’s still a bad deal for the precedent it sets .

Countries like China and Iran and others will look at this and go. Why not give it a shot . Invade our neighbours take their territory. Tell the world that goes properties were historically yours, ignoring all the modern treaties and changes and sit back while the UN in the world does not a damn thing about it.
