Ukraine has begun planning presidential elections and a national referendum, the Financial Times reports.

According to the outlet, the Trump administration is pushing for both votes to be held before May 15, warning that Ukraine could risk losing US security guarantees.

Sources say Zelensky is expected to announce the elections on Feb. 24.

  1. Speaking of elections, this just appeared on Conservatives 4 Ukraine:

“The lead candidate to win Hungary’s April 12th election, Peter Magyar, says tomorrow a sex tape of him with his girlfriend is going to be released by his opponents.

On Tuesday, Peter Magyar said he is the victim of a Russian-style active measure campaign by Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s embattled government.
Orban is the European Union (EU) leader closet to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Orban has frequently criticized Ukraine and defended Russian aggression. Orban says anyone calling on the EU to halt imports of cheap Russian energy “is an enemy of Hungary, so Ukraine is our enemy.”
Magyar says “Yes, I am a 45-year-old man, and I have a sex life. It is with an adult partner. I have three minor children, whom this vile ‘family-friendly’ regime obviously does not give a damn about. . . “Dear frightened Fidesz (ruling party) supporters: go ahead, release every videotape you have. Fabricate whatever you like. I will not yield to blackmail or threats.”

Unfortunately, from what I’ve read about Magyar, he hates Ukraine almost as much as OrbanaZi does.

    • The Hungarians are mosgtly vile Nazis, so it’s not a surprise that one piece of fascist garbage will replace the other piece of garbage. I don’t know what in the hell this little insignificant mooching shithole is doing in the EU and NATO.

  2. This is not true, according to the Kyiv Independent.

“As of now, President Volodymyr Zelensky does not plan to announce presidential elections or a referendum on a possible peace deal with Russia on Feb. 24, a source in the President’s Office familiar with the matter told the Kyiv Independent on Feb. 11.

“The comment came after the Financial Times reported that Kyiv was preparing to hold both votes this spring and that Zelensky could unveil the plan on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

“He wasn’t planning to,” the source said when asked whether the president would make such an announcement on Feb. 24. “When there’s no security, there’s nothing else.”
