News from and about Ukraine in English

On this day in 2014, representative of Horlivka’s City Council, Volodymyr Rybak, was kidnapped, tortured, disembowelled, his body dumped in a river, for replacing a Ukrainian flag removed by Russian invaders from a city council building.

Russia murdered him for defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and national identity.

Russian intelligence operative, Igor Nikolaevich Bezler (who was posing as a Ukrainian national, using a fake Ukrainian passport) played a key role in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2014.

Some time ago, Ukraine issued an arrest warrant for Bezler for killing Ukrainian activists Volodymyr Rybak, Yuriy Popravko, and Ihor Dyakivskyi.

And remember, adults like Volodymyr Rybak were not alone in being murdered for being pro-Ukrainian. Russian invasion forces murdered teenagers as well. They tortured them and killed them. Because they have NO limits. No low is too low.

Just some of the facts about Russia’s unlawful war on Ukraine western media has largely ignored.

      • I had not known you were doing that one F1.
Anyway, Girkin and Bezler are both exceptionally evil psychopaths, even by the standards of putlerstan; the worst nazi state on earth.
The Guardian interviewed Bezler after M17.
“Those who are fighting with the Ukrainian army, we keep as prisoners. Those who are fighting with volunteer battalions, we question them and then shoot them on the spot. Why should we show any pity to them?… You should see what they have done to my people. They chop off their heads and shit in the helmets! They are fascists! So why should we stand on ceremony with them? Questioning, an execution, that’s it. I will hang those fuckers from lampposts!”. According to Walker, when Bezler saw the journalists recording this conversation, he ordered, “Burn their notebooks! Seize their electronics! Search everything for compromising material and then destroy it! If you find anything, execute them as spies!… Don’t think for one minute I will hesitate to have you shot.”

          • In a just world:
Judge: ‘have you two anything to say before sentencing?’
Ans: (in unison) ‘we were only obeying orders’.
Judge: ‘That is a reasonable point, which I will now consider.’
10 seconds later: ‘Would you like blindfolds before you swing?’

            • Yeah the old excuse by war criminals. We all know who should be in front of the Hague, and that’s Putin. Ukraine have enough evidence to shoot him ten times over. Never mind the evidence from Syria, the UK and any other country infested with the Russian virus.
