Yes, good decision. But don’t stop at that. Get rid of all the occupier names. A good example is Donetsk. When the putinazi savages have finally gone, it should revert to its original name.
It was founded in 1869 as a workers’ settlement “Yuzovka” around the metallurgical factory of the Welshman John Hughes.
Bring Yuzovka back and encourage some new entrepreneurial Welshmen to settle there with their families.
I disagree, perhaps change it to; Navalnia or Nemtsovovia…..;)
I looked up Luhansk too. It was founded by an Englishman: Charles Gascoigne, in 1795. He built a metal factory there. So they could do a lot worse than rename it as “Gascoynka.”
As for naming cities after the great democrat and (very rare) great Russian; Boris Nemtsov; great idea. But don’t name anything after Navalny. Although 1000 times better than putler, he is a skanky imperialist and says he would keep all putler’s occupied territories.
For sure, Gascoynka would bring me to laugh every time I hear it.
How about Onlyfactspleasakovia?
Now that sounds more like a country name! Maybe the new name for Belarus once putler’s pet gorilla has gone?!
Hahaha….done!
